A lot of people ask what the connection is between art and Bartending, and why I studied both. I think to myself, what part of either subject is not connected to each other? They are both casual and yet serious and both require so much attention to detail and skill, not to mention the rich history each subject contains. I want to create a space where a culture can develop, and in some way that is an art project (or experiment) in itself. And although there are many bars and many art galleries around, no two are alike or can be recreated. I don’t believe that you can even choose what theme you create. Artists, bartenders, customers, visitors, supporters, and sponsors all donate their energy to this social soup of creative flowing energy that makes a specific location what it is. So when people ask me what “kind” of business I want to create, the truth is I don’t know. It’s up to the people… Whoever is involved; but whatever it turns out to be I know it will be beautiful. Thank you to everyone who in some way, knowingly or unknowingly, has led me up to this point and down this path of art & booze, responsibly of course. I mean, as responsibly as one can be when mixing the two ;)
